Spiritual songs > Hymns to the Mother of God
Palomniki Uniontowns’ki
The text of this pilgrimage hymn to the Mother of God is that of Father William Levkulic and cantor Jerry Jumba, who also published an English translation, Sing with joy and pray together (Come to Uniontown).
The title is rendered in English as "Uniontown Pilgrims", and the song refers specifically to the annual pilgrimage to the Basilian monastery of Mount Saint Macrina (Uniontown, PA) in honor of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, which is held over Labor Day weekend and has taken place annually since 1934.
This hymn was reviewed as part of the Hymnal Project of the Metropolitan Cantor Institute. See the discussion page.
