music (samohlasen)

At "O Lord, I have cried", there are three stichera for the holy martyrs.

Tone 8, special melody O preslavnoho čudese.  Having struggled for Christ, O martyrs, * you were not moved at all by the torments of the persecutors * who inflicted a violent death upon you. * But with eager zeal and holy conviction, * all seven of you marched into the combat. * Putting on the crown of victors, * you were forever numbered among the just. * With them, we continually glorify you and call you blest.

O martyred athlete Agapius, * seeking the Summit of all desires and the Source of all good, * you hastened to drink from the cup of martyrdom, * as you called upon the name of the living God. * What determination and what courage you displayed! * By them you attained your merited glory and splendor.

O praiseworthy martyrs, * you voluntarily handed yourselves over for immolation. * You sanctified the earth by your blood; * you have light to the heavens as you passed to them. * You dwell there now for all ages, * praying without cease for us * to the never-setting Light.

Glory, now and ever – Theotokion, or Stavrotheotokion

Troparion,  Tone 4.  Your holy martyrs, O Lord our God, * in their struggles, received an incorruptible crown from you. * With your strength, they brought down the tyrants * and broke the cowardly valor of demons. * Through their prayers, O Christ our God, save our souls.
