We come to you in prayer

This is a hymn which perhaps deserves to be more widely known.  I am also including a SECOND melody, from the Uzhorod Seminary Choir.

Here is the version in the Marian Hymnal (1984):

And here is the Slavonic.

Discussion

The Užhorod Pisennik (1913) has fifteen verses for this hymn.  As with several others in the chart on the Hymnal Project page, I am looking for someone who would be willing to prepare good literal translations, both for understanding the Slavonic text where it differs from the English, and so that new singable English verses might be prepared.

Alternate version

The 1969 Duchovni Pisni has a different version for the same basic text – one which has been record by the Uzhorod Seminary Choir (listen).

Here is the sheet music:

This is different enough from the first version – that is, I think it fills a different devotional niche, as it were – that I am proposing both versions go into the new hymnal .  (I will include a harmonization of the second one if time permits.)

Thoughts or suggestions?
