Sources

The text was written by Béla Tárkányi (1821-1886), and the melody was composed (or possibly collected) by the brothers Endre and Ferenc Zsasskovszky (1824-1882, 1819-1887).

This setting is the one used at St. Elias Byzantine Catholic Church in Munhall, PA, the oldest Hungarian Greek Catholic parish in the Pittsburgh area.
