The holy martyrs Agape, Irene, and Chiona at Thessalonica in Macedonia. These women were virgins who, when in the persecution of Diocletian the emperor refused to eat food offered to idols, were condemned by Dulcetius the governor and handed over to the fire. (c.304)

Glory – Kontakion, Tone 4.  Having pledged yourselves to the Lord so gracefully, * you made an offering of your blood at your martyrdom. * O holy martyrs, * you have been admitted to heaven's banquet hall * and the splendid brilliance of the Light himself. * As we celebrate your holy memory, * we bless the Savior and we cry out: * Pray to the Lord for all of us.
