music (samohlasen)

At "O Lord, I have cried", there are three stichera for the venerable father.

Tone 8, special melody O preslavnoho čudese.  O divinely-wise father Hypatius, * nobly elevated in temperance, * you have grown to the height of the virtues, * straining after the most profound contemplation * and reflecting the beauty of Christ. * In your soul and heart, illumined by his radiance, * your pour forth the light of your resplendant miracles on all men.

O excellent father Hypatius, * radiating the brilliance of the true Faith, * you enlighten the souls of the faithful approaching you. * You obscured the disciples of Arius, * excommunicating them from the Church of Christ. * Thus we all have you as a torch, * as we celebrate your holy memory today * and call you blessed.

O venerable father Hypatius, * bearing Christ in your heart, * that divine King whom you clearly preached * as consubstantial to the Father, * you radiated the light of your miracles, * enlightening the whole world, like the sun running its course. * You slew the serpent, * and by your prayers brought forth a fountain of warm waters * for the healing of our ills.

Glory, now and ever – Theotokion, or Stavrotheotokion

Troparion,  Tone 8. In you, O father, the divine image was strictly preserved; * taking up your cross, you followed Christ. * You taught us by example how to spurn the flesh, for it passes away, * and how to care for the soul, which is immortal. * Therefore, O venerable Hypatius, your souls rejoices with the angels.
