The text for Tam hde v nebi<\/em>,\u00a0 the Slavonic original of this hymn, was printed in 1974 in a small booklet from the Sisters of Saint Basil the Great, Uniontown, PA, titled Pis\u0148i vo \u010dest’ Materi Bo\u017eoj Neustaju\u0161\u010doj Pomo\u0161\u010di <\/em> – in other words, hymns for services to Our Lady of Perpetual Help.<\/p>\n

One verse was printed (with an English translation) by Fr. William Levkulic in 1978. This hymn was NOT included in the 1985 Marian Hymnal, <\/em>so I have had to rely on an unattributed manuscript for music.<\/p>\n

Other things being equal, I am not sure this is up to the standard of the other hymns to the Mother of God in the proposal hymnal, especially since there is only one verse (meaning a limited time for the congregation and hear and absorb it each time it is sung).<\/p>\n

But I plan to contact the Sisters of Saint Basil this month and see if I can find out more. In the meantime, if you know anything about this hymn, please share!<\/p>\n
