At Vespers

music (samohlasen)

At "O Lord, I have cried": three stichera from the Octoechos, and three for the holy martyrs.

Tone 8, special melody O preslavnoho čudese.  Nurtured on the milk of faith, * you attained maturity in Christ * because of your many torments and tribulations. * O Galaction, you became an acceptable sacrifice * and a perfect immolation * through your voluntary hastening to martyrdom. * O most rich one! * We marvel at your firm and steadfast faith, whereby you received from God * the deification in which you now take part.

You sought in an artful way * for the Wellspring of goodness which you most earnestly desired; * and with the splendors of God, * you illumined both soul and mind, * O martyrs most blessed of God. * With mighty opposition, you cast down the ancient Tyrant, * O blessed Galaction and Episteme, * divine adornment of monastics.

The two all-radiant lights of the East * shine forth with grace from on high * and piously illumine all creation * with the transcendent splendors of their suffering * and the divine flames of healing. * Honoring their most splendid festival, * we glorify Christ who illumines all for their sake.

Glory, now and ever – Theotokion, or Stavrotheotokion

The aposticha are from the Octoechos.

Troparion,  Tone 4.  Your holy martyrs, O Lord our God, * in their struggles, received an incorruptible crown from you. * With your strength, they brought down the tyrants * and broke the cowardly valor of demons. * Through their prayers, O Christ our God, save our souls.
